RESTAURANT BETONG
“Betong” means “concrete” in English, which makes sense when you see the raw, unfinished walls at this lively, no-frills spot. Chef Jonathan Hagen’s signature “Cold Curry” is a great example of his creative flair, but you’ll still notice the solid classical techniques behind each dish. With upbeat music and a high-energy vibe, dining here is all about having a good time in a space that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

TABUNO
Molde Meets Manila – Meet Tabuno
In the heart of Oslobukta, Tabuno is soon opening – a new and personal restaurant experience that bears the name of its founder and head chef, Ivy Tabuno Solheim. Ivy was born in the Philippines and grew up in Molde, and with Tabuno she shares her love letter to both places she calls home.
Through food, atmosphere, and hospitality, Ivy wants to tell her own story: one shaped by both the raw nature of Norway’s west coast and the deep traditions of Filipino cuisine.
Here, Filipino culinary heritage meets local ingredients and simple, Nordic expressions. Right in the emerging food and culture district of Oslobukta, Tabuno will be a stage for unique taste experiences, inspired by personal heritage and global curiosity.
This spring, Ivy is spending time in Manila, where she’s working and gathering inspiration from some of the city’s most acclaimed kitchens. Her stay is a journey back to her roots – a chance to rediscover old flavors, traditional techniques, and new interpretations of Filipino cuisine. Ivy will bring these authentic taste experiences to Tabuno – in reimagined dishes that bridge tradition and the contemporary.
Tabuno is meant to be more than just a restaurant. It will be a cultural crossroads – a Third Culture Home – where food becomes a common language for those who’ve grown up between places, cultures, and identities. A gathering spot for curious food lovers, for people with multiple homelands, and for anyone longing for an experience that tastes new yet feels familiar.
